I began to discover
my interest in plants during my childhood in Bavaria (GER).
My first, quite large, collection of cactus was followed by training as a
gardener in a flower and ornamental plant firm. This exposed me to the creative
world of florists and my interest for this complex craft was born. The florist
training that followed helped focus my creativity.
After this training, I worked six years in various well-known florist shops in Bavaria. This time was
rich in sharing ideas with colleagues, many of whom became examples for me in different
fields.
To deal with growing things, to design with respect, listening to the plants
and knowing how they want to be presented and how to care for them, touched
more and more my interest. I visited
with growing awareness different expositions of florist masters' work. They
opened my eyes to how much more intensivly you can deal with design.
Finally, I was ready to be trained as a florist master and chose the Florist Master School in Straubing (GER)
This intense and extremely inspiring year went very fast. The constant dealing
with critical people, everybody with his own design particularity and
qualities, enriched me a lot. After the successful final examination I left for
Belgium.
After two years, in which I was working in various florist shops in Belgium, the
time came to open my own florist shop, to which I can welcome you now.
